This is my third attempt at writing an introduction to this post. I’m as narcissistic as the next guy, but the title might sound like a lot, even for me. Here’s my reasoning for using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve alluded to some recent undeserved but much appreciated publicity for the Gazette and as a result, there are a number of new subscribers. While I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as far as knowing what they’ve gotten themselves into, I realize that no one in their right mind or with a reasonably limited amount of discretionary time will wade through two decades of posts. So, I’ve done some of that heavy lifting for them (and anyone else who might be testing the waters, so to speak) by picking out a handful of articles that may, in the aggregate, provide a sense of how I go about describing my perceptions of reality. I hope that makes sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as narcissism goes, I enjoy writing and I also enjoy reading what I’ve written (for the most part; the cringeworthy posts — and there are many — are left as a reminder that humility is not overrated). However, that enjoyment is a bit tempered by an increasing realization that I’m slowly losing to age some of whatever skill with words I had in the past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All that is to say that what follows might be the best you can expect, and I hope you, dear reader, will still stick around to support me in my dotage. Bless your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
