She looked up and spotted the source: a <a title=\"Wikipedia\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ladder-backed_Woodpecker\">ladder-backed woodpecker<\/a> working its way up the trunk of our neighbors&#8217; red oak tree.
