As far as the vets can tell, Abbye&#8217;s diabetes is not a function of the Cushing&#8217;s Disease, meaning that we&#8217;ll need to continue to treat the two ailments separately. She&#8217;s been going in every morning and spending the day at the clinic while they try to determine the proper insulin dosage. It looks like we&#8217;ll be giving her two shots a day, from now on. And, sadly, her vision is not improving.<\/p>\n<p>Unless a miracle occurs, we and Abbye will have to adjust to her living without eyesight.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re all very grateful for the many expressions of concern and caring, and I&#8217;ll let you know if anything changes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If knowing something is better than uncertainty, then there&#8217;s good news on the Abbye front.
