As we headed out to breakfast this morning, we noticed a bit of fog and mist in some of the low-lying areas and around the golf course across the pasture, but it wasn’t until we turned onto “A” Street that we saw this striking bit of meteorological phenomena:
This line of mist or fog stretched horizontally for about a mile, running east and west. It floated about ten or twelve feet above the ground and appeared to be about ten feet thick. I don’t recall ever before seeing anything quite like this.

Eric, we see a lot of fogs like this in North
Texas since we’ve had rain and finally a sunny day. They stretch along the low places, like our waterways.
Rain? What’s that? 😉
Probably H2S vapors from the wells they’re drilling in your neighborhood.
Ah, that could explain the pile of dead birds and rabbits. I had assumed it was just the usual end-of-summer ritual mass suicide. 😉
