Remember yesterday (I know; that’s probably unreasonable) when I was telling you about my greeting card-shopping experience and how hard it was to sift through the hundreds of choices to find one that didn’t initiate a gag reflex?
Well, MLB and I exchanged cards this afternoon after the movie (and I do owe you a review, Becky). She handed hers to me and I thought, “interesting…we both put the card into the envelope backwards,” because I could make out the Hallmark imprint through the paper…the paper that, coincidentally, seemed to be the same color as the envelope I handed her.
You can see this coming, can’t you?
What are the odds that a woman and a man, shopping independently for an anniversary card (she was a lot earlier than me, of course) would choose the exact same card for each other?
In our case, the odds are apparently 100%. That’s pretty cool, in a weird way.
[I just hope she doesn’t get me a pair of inlaid opal earrings.]

The funny thing about this is that the Pastor of my Church and his wife did exactly the same thing this year too! Must be an old married couples thing!
PS. Nice new toy! Your camera must be pretty professional looking about now!
I myself am looking at underwater camera bags and whether I can ever justify the expense hehe.
That’s gonna look funny hanging from your ear.
Must be a Texas thing.
Upon first glance, my son said, “Wow, Eric is SO lucky! (YLB) gave him a rocketship?!”
You see, we just took the Cub Scouts down to NASA for a weekend sleepover at Johnson Space Center where he saw some old rockets.
Must be an old married couples thing!
Old? Not us! Just married forever… 😉
Brian, we always do things bigger down here. But, that lens is awesome…I’ve never looked through a brighter telephoto than that one.
Dang, Becky…I never thought about hinting for a rocket! Maybe next year; get M to remind me.
That does look like one sweet lens.
You two seem to like each other quite a bit.
That’s so cool.
my wife and i did the same thing several years ago – only times 2. we could not decide between 2 cards so we each got the same two cards. wooooaaa!
I am impressed, both with the lens and the cards…amazing indeed!
That’s so sweet! 🙂
Awesome on the double cards and awesome on the lens! happy anniversary!
I think it’s sweet.
Happy (belated) Anniversary. Congratulations on so many wonderful years together.
