Snack Tip

Who says cooking is complicated?

  1. Locate a half-full jar of marshmallow cream in the back of your pantry. If you have only a full far, ask your wife to make a half batch of fudge.
  2. Put said jar of marshmallow cream in the microwave. Nuke for 15-20 seconds, depending on your clean-up capabilities.
  3. Into the bubbling mass of marshmallow cream drop a few of your choice of chocolate morsels (Dove dark chocolate hearts work well)
  4. Eat resulting concoction with spoon.
  5. Watch two episodes of Oprah to deal with resulting guilt.
  6. Come up with an explanation for the remaining mess in the jar of marshmallow cream. (Note: The more perceptive among you will immediately recognize how to avoid having to deal with this issue. But that solution will cost you another three Oprah eps.)

A popular variation on this recipe is to put the chocolate in before nuking the mixture. Your decision to do this will depend on whether you prefer your chocolate al dente (an Italian cooking term meaning “crunchy”).
