Eric, being an early and fervent fan of Wallace and Gromit, I was saddened by the news … but I have to agree with their creator, Nick Park, who placed the story in perspective, in relation to the leading headline of the weekend.
We did live theater with the boys this weekend … Pickwicks’ “Dracula” at MCT … Next weekend, though, it’s movie theater’s turn with “Were Rabbit” …
Jeff, nowdays we can use all the “Wallace & Gromit” (or even Gumby and Pokey) we can get.
I don’t know if we’ll catch “WereRabbit” at the theater, but it will definitely be NetFlix material at some point.
As Davey said to Goliath in the Mountain Dew commercial, “we’ve been hosed.”
John, I had forgotten about the Dew commercials. Gumby and Pokey may have had accomplices!
Always knew Gumby had a mean streak.
I remember one of the Gumby episodes in ’70s where two of the Blockheads deliberately broke Boo’s doll. The little green guy lost his temper and actually decked the both of them.
Now that Wallace and Grommit are out of the way, The California Raisins better hope Gumby has a soft spot for Motown.
That’s darn good photoshopping, btw. 😉
