Mary, did you know
That your baby boy
Would some day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy
Would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy
Has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered,
Will soon deliver you.
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy
Would give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy
Would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy
Has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby,
You’ve kissed the face of God.
Oh Mary, did you know…?
The blind will see,
The deaf will hear,
And the dead will live again.
The lame will leap,
The dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb…
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy
Is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy
Would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy
Is Heaven’s perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you’re holding
Is the great
I AM!

It occurs to me that some may not be familiar with the song, or perhaps haven’t heard it in a while. Here’s a version that features the lyricist, Mark Lowry, and its expression of the true meaning of this season brings me to my knees every time I hear it.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s beautiful!
You’re welcome, Lee. I had not seen that arrangement of the song before, and in my opinion, it’s the most moving performance of them all…and that’s saying a lot.
I hope you and Tammy have a terrific Christmas and an even better 2025!
